This is where I put phrases I use often that I steal from others. Credit should be given where credit is due, after all. Since everyone steals from everyone else, this should not matter as much, but at the very least, I have a need to be honest. |
"SUNSHINE~!"
The tilde is there to accent the fact that I say this in an extremely loud voice. Used first by Steven Regal ("Don't get shirty with me, sunshine,") I commandeered it to give one of my coworkers a nickname. She is perpetually grumpy and complains a lot. So I call her Sunshine, because it makes her laugh and I derive great joy from ruining her fun, "unruining" her mood if you will. Another coworker stole the concept in turn, making it her nametag. I wore that nametag a few times. So now there are three Sunshines. The mind reels.

"Woo"
Hobbes says this whenever he enters the chatroom. It has gotten to the point where people either try to race him to say it first, or say it in response to his "woo." As such, a chorus of "Woo"s are sure to erupt.
------------------
"Eat a monkey."
Nick said this once, frustrated at his banker. Something else was obviously supposed to come out of his mouth, but the metaphor seems to be so mixed as to be indecipherable from it's roots.
------------------
"Initiative will get you nowhere."
This one was stolen from more-radiohead.com, which housed some of their mini-videos from Kid A. If you tried to get smart on them and erase the subdirectories, going to the supposed main page, this is what came up in very large letters.
-----------------
"The sheer physics of it are MIND-boggling."
Believe it or not, Austin Powers II. There is another variation of the phrase in something else, with some guy bugging out, finishing with "...BOGGLES MY MIND!!!!" But I will be damned if I remember it.
-----------------
"Hi!"
This is usually said very quickly and high-pitched. I stole this from Ashley Fletcher, but my friends and I have concluded that all girls do this when they want to be cute. A popular variation includes a tilt of the head.
-----------------
"You just got Lyndon B. Johnsoned."
Nick Bernard said this, and he knows that nobody knows what he was talking about. But I kept it to test on others. The consensus is that this is impossible to define, but you know when you ARE, in fact, Lyndon B. Johnsoned.

"This is my bus. I built this bus."
Taken from Mike Lavieri, who, in turn, took it from Elix Skipper, who, in turn, took a bus. God bless his heart. |
